The book of Zechariah offers profound hope and guidance, emphasising God’s enduring covenant with His people despite their past wanderings and current struggles.
Chapters one and two urges a three-fold response: repentance, an ongoing turning back to God; perception of God’s unwavering passion and justice, as revealed through visions of divine patrols and judgment against oppressors; and rejoicing in the glorious return and indwelling of the Lord. Ultimately, these chapters point to Jesus as the fulfilment of God’s promises, providing a foundation of unshakeable hope and assurance of God’s protective presence and ultimate triumph for His people.
